Madison Cox, a garden designer and writer with offices in both New York City and Morocco, has worked extensively in North America, Europe and Morocco. He serves on a number of boards of foundations including as President of the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris; President of the Fondation Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech; and as an Advisory Board Member of the Aangan Trust in Mumbai, India. He has been actively involved with the American School of Tangier and the American School of Marrakech since 2005 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the board. He writes, “I am deeply interesting in preserving the Legation complex not only because it is an important landmark in American history, not to mention American/Moroccan exchange, but as a vibrant cultural place of exchange for contemporary life. I am very keen to help in renovating and restoring the various rooms at the Legation, with such simple additions as proper exhibition lighting, re-labeling and re-hanging of the collections.”
